Daí surgiu o nosso desejo em democratizar a informação. Por isso, lançamos hoje a Record News, o primeiro canal exclusivo de notícias da TV aberta do Brasil”.
No material divulgado pela UOL NEWS, cujo link que permite a assistência ao breve pronunciamento descrito acima é http://videos.uol.com.br/video/bispo-edir-macedo-critica-monopalio-da-globo-0402C0A97327 , não há como saber o que o bispo quer dizer por “nós”, se ele se refere aos seus fiéis ou a todo o povo brasileiro. Também não fica claro se ele quer substituir o monopólio da globo por um outro, no caso, obviamente, o monopólio da Record.
O fato é que a situação abre possibilidade para um debate crucial no mundo contemporâneo, o da democratização da mídia e não somente das informações, como é o desejo do bispo, pois entendemos que os argumentos que defendem a democratização da informação sem abordar a necessidade de democratizar as mídias que as difundem não passam de falácias, e o mês de outubro aparece como fundamental para desconstruir essas falácias, já que é neste mês, precisamente no dia 5, que vencem as concessões da TV Globo, que segundo a revista fórum, em sua editoria, “é responsável por muito do que o Brasil tem de ruim na sua história política recente”.
Nesse sentido, seja a “santa” Record, ou a “amorosa” platinada, ou qualquer outra, concretamente o que interessa debater é o fato destas serem concessões públicas, portanto devem estar direcionadas aos interesses públicos e não privado-corporativos.
Precisamos aproveitar o momento para ampliar os questionamentos sobre os critérios usados nas concessões dos canais de televisão no Brasil.
